Ora Sorensen

Ora Sorensen is an American oil painter known for “exaggerated realism,” pushing color, contrast, and lighting slightly beyond literal observation. Her still lifes, often florals and fruit, are built through many thin transparent layers of paint to create depth and a polished, luminous finish. The method is slow and controlled, designed to make surfaces feel saturated and dimensional.

Born in New York and raised internationally, Sorensen developed her practice through ongoing study and long-term exhibition experience. She owned an art gallery in Delray Beach, Florida for twenty years and has completed major commissions for public spaces.
