Janet Crawford

Janet Crawford is an American oil painter based in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, known for candid portraits of the equestrian world, especially horses and dogs. With a BFA from Rhode Island College, she approaches her subjects with a portrait painter’s mindset: structure first, then expression, then the small details that make an animal feel specific.
