The Silver Windblown Tree by Randy Adams transforms aluminum wire into a striking study of movement and resilience. Hand-shaped branches sweep dramatically to one side as though caught in a coastal wind, while the twisting trunk remains firmly rooted in a natural Vermont slate base. Additional Information

Randy Adams has been creating wire tree sculptures since 1972, beginning in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and now working from Weathersfield, Vermont. His windblown trees were inspired by the rugged, windswept coast of Newfoundland.

Each sculpture is formed by hand from aluminum wire and anchored into hand-selected slate from Vermont’s historic Slate Valley. The slate base is signed by the artist and sealed for protection. Because every branch is individually shaped, no two trees are exactly alike.
