The illustrated exterior begins as a metallized wax sheet that is water-printed in four colors, embossed to create a gently raised surface, and carefully wrapped around the candle by Pernici artisans. The result is what the company calls a “dressed candle”—a functional candle transformed into a richly detailed decorative object.
