The Patina Copper Maple Tree brings a deeper, more dramatic finish to Randy Adams’s signature wire sculptures. Its darkened copper trunk and branches retain subtle warm highlights, emphasizing the intricate hand-twisted construction and full, naturalistic form. Mounted on Vermont slate, each tree has its own distinctive balance, character, and surface variation.

Additional Information

Randy Adams has been creating wire tree sculptures since 1972, beginning in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and now working from Weathersfield, Vermont. His windblown trees were inspired by the rugged, windswept coast of Newfoundland.

Each sculpture is formed by hand from aluminum wire and anchored into hand-selected slate from Vermont’s historic Slate Valley. The slate base is signed by the artist and sealed for protection. Because every branch is individually shaped, no two trees are exactly alike.
