Evening Rounds

Claudio D’Angelo is a Canadian painter known for intimate wildlife-and-landscape scenes where animals and habitat are inseparable. Raised just outside Montreal, he developed an early fascination with the natural world and later built a successful illustration career before committing fully to painting in 1980. 

Over time, D’Angelo’s work has been exhibited through major wildlife-art institutions, and he has also designed wildlife coin concepts for the Royal Canadian Mint and produced imagery selected for conservation stamp projects. His paintings are collected internationally for their quiet realism, shifting light, and the sense of being “inside” the environment rather than observing it from a distance.
