Diane Kaylor is a mixed media collage artist and illustrator who earned her degree in illustration from Parsons School of Design. Over a career spanning more than four decades, she has worked across the art and design world as a freelance illustrator, art director, and product designer, and later founded DK Designs to produce handcrafted pieces derived from her collage imagery. Since the early 1990s, she has exhibited nationally at fine art and craft shows while also building a licensing presence that has placed her images on a wide range of printed and manufactured products.

Kaylor’s original collage work is built from thousands of pieces of paper that she hand-prints, cuts, layers, and paints, then assembles into landscapes with real depth and relief. She starts by creating her own patterned papers using a small set of print-based processes such as texture transfers, stenciling, and paint removal, then refines those papers into a structured composition that balances abstraction with clear representational elements. The result is work that reads cleanly from a distance, then rewards close viewing through surface, texture, and precise construction.
