Hundreds of individually formed branches stretch in one direction, creating a powerful sense of movement above a richly twisted trunk and natural Vermont slate base. The warm copper finish highlights every line and turn of the sculpture.

Additional Information

Randy Adams has been creating wire tree sculptures since 1972, beginning in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and now working from Weathersfield, Vermont. His windblown trees were inspired by the rugged, windswept coast of Newfoundland.

Each sculpture is formed by hand from aluminum wire and anchored into hand-selected slate from Vermont’s historic Slate Valley. The slate base is signed by the artist and sealed for protection. Because every branch is individually shaped, no two trees are exactly alike.
