Chris Belleau was originally trained as a potter before being drawn to glass for its fluidity, translucency, and extraordinary possibilities with color. Working from his Rhode Island studio, Belleau is unusual among glassblowers in that he regularly creates his own colored glass from raw ingredients, allowing him to explore variations in hue, tone, and depth beyond standard commercial colors. His work is inspired by nature but guided by imagination, with an emphasis on beauty, personality, and a touch of humor.
