The cookie is presented on a white ceramic plate with gold trim and a repeating Greek key border, pairing the familiar snack form with a more formal decorative setting.

Additional Information

Tony Natsoulas is a California ceramic sculptor whose work is rooted in the irreverent spirit of the California Funk movement. While studying at UC Davis, he worked closely with Robert Arneson and developed within a remarkable artistic community that included Wayne Thiebaud, Roy De Forest, and Manuel Neri.

The ARTO Ceramic Cookies bring Natsoulas’s humor and interest in popular culture to an intimate scale. Each handmade ceramic sandwich cookie replaces familiar commercial branding with the artist’s raised ARTO emblem and is permanently paired with a decorative plate, making the entire presentation one sculptural object. Each cookie and plate combination is distinct, with natural variations in glaze, texture, and handmade form.

Care & Handling

Handle with care and support the sculpture from the plate when moving it. Display on a stable surface and dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals.
