Dahl Taylor is a professional illustrator and painter whose career has ranged from editorial and corporate illustration to large-scale exhibit work and commissioned portraiture. His portrait commissions include the official portrait of former New York State Attorney General Dennis Vacco (installed in the New York State Capitol) along with portraits for judges and institutional and corporate collections. He has also produced artwork for limited-edition projects connected to the U.S. Navy Memorial and the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial, and created theatre-related artwork including work tied to the Tony-nominated Having Our Say and a Neil Simon production.

Taylor’s public-facing work includes major mural and exhibit commissions, including a 36-foot veterans mural created for the State University of New York that integrates names and archival photos into the installation. He has presented a one-man show at the Society of Illustrators and has participated in marine-art programming connected to Mystic Seaport, reflecting a practice that moves comfortably between fine art and applied illustration.
