Trip Park is an American painter whose career ran through advertising, publishing, and animation before painting took over as the main focus. He worked as an art director at major agencies including Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi, then moved into children’s books, including illustrating R.L. Stine’s Rotten School series, and later character design work connected to Blue Sky Studios. That background shows in his painting through clean composition, immediate readability, and strong design instincts.Park’s shift into painting accelerated when he began making work for retail and interior contexts, then committed to a high-output studio rhythm. His paintings often feel narrative without being literal, with subject choices that come from everyday observation filtered through a designer’s editing. ×
