Rob Meyers

Rob Meyers is a plein air painter known for New England landscapes painted outdoors in all seasons, with a focus on how shifting light changes color and structure. His work moves across farms, shoreline, lakes, and towns, and it’s built around strong composition rather than over-detailing. Before focusing fully on painting, he worked for more than fifteen years at Yale University’s Center for British Art as an exhibition designer and master framer, which sharpened his eye for presentation, proportion, and finish.

Meyers’ paintings are collected for their clean read from across a room and their accuracy up close, especially in the way he controls edges and value. He returns to locations repeatedly, treating place as a long-term subject rather than a one-off scene.
