Marin Dobson

Marin Dobson is an award-winning oil painter whose work focuses on the natural landscape, with an emphasis on how light shapes form and mood. She is known for painterly surfaces and clear structure, using edges, value control, and composition to keep her scenes readable and intentional. Her approach reflects Russian School–inspired training at the Sahli School of Art and continued study at the Art Students League of Denver, including a year of instruction with Quong Ho.

Dobson’s paintings have been juried into major national and international exhibitions and professional shows, including Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, Society of Master Impressionists, and Audubon Artists. Her work has also been featured in publications including Southwest Art, American Art Collector, and The Artist’s Magazine, and she has placed work in corporate collections. ×
