Lisa David

Lisa David is an award-winning painter from Upstate New York whose work pulls from vintage Americana, pop-era design, and bold color. Her early years included lots of time in the Adirondacks, and that mix of nostalgia and outdoors still shows up in the subject choices and the way she builds a painting around strong shapes and high-impact color decisions.

Before focusing more fully on painting, David ran a successful production pottery business, which sharpened her instincts for form, surface, and craftsmanship. She later earned a teaching degree, became a National Board Certified Art Teacher, and continues to teach advanced drawing and painting in Clifton Park, New York, while maintaining an active studio practice and returning regularly to the Adirondacks for inspiration. ×
