Iris Rousseau

Iris Rousseau (born 1942 in Munich) is an internationally exhibited sculptor whose work centers on bronze, ranging from life-size figures and portraits to smaller works of children and animals. Her bronze female nudes are a signature focus, built around simplified form and a strong sense of proportion.

Rousseau spent more than two decades traveling and studying past civilizations and symbolic forms at their places of origin, a period that shaped the timeless, archetypal feel of her sculpture.
