Benoit Havard is a French painter known for dreamy, light-filled urban landscapes that feel both energetic and nostalgic. He began drawing and painting young and later enrolled at the École des Beaux-Arts de Cherbourg, where he strengthened his technical foundation before committing to a more independent studio path. Working primarily in oil with a palette knife, Havard builds sculptural surfaces where color and glow do most of the storytelling. His city scenes emphasize warmth, movement, and atmosphere over tight detail, creating paintings that read like vivid memories rather than literal documents. ×
